Gift A Day from Etsy by Kristin
Today's Gift A Day Idea is something I definitely need for The New Year! Made by fellow Hoosier, KeepsakeCouture, this planner/calendar is everything I want! It's purple and green! My favorite colors!
"A planner that starts and ends when you want it to! Our 12 month weekly planner is perfect for keeping track of the things that keep you busy in life! This durable planner measures 8.5” x 11” and is professionally spiral bound with durable black coiling for easy access and use.
The front and back covers were made with patterned paper/card stock and reinforced and protected by clear covers. There are monthly views for each of the 12 months you specify and a page for each week to track your busy schedule.
Each month has an area dedicated to listing your task list, important dates, and other notables. Nearly each weekly view (excluding the first week of each month) has a blank page to the left of the binding that is perfect for writing down directions, meeting notes, etc.
Planner Features:
- Measures 8.5” x 11”
- Die cut numbers "09-10" on front cover
- Monthly Page Views of 12 months as chosen by the buyer
- Notes page with Task List, Important Dates, Etc.
- Weekly views with ample area for notes
- Durable and spiral bound with clear cover reinforcement
~ Just a reminder ~
Most covers and products are interchangeable at no additional cost! For example, if you would like a cover used on another product for this planner, just convo me and I'll be happy to send you the list of available covers!
* Please add in Notes to Seller section the start and end dates of your 12 months of choice. * "

My next idea is also something I want! My master bedroom deserves this fun piece! From ChuchEByrdWallArt, this Eiffel Tower would look so wonderful in my room. I have a Parisian theme going on and this decal would finish it perfectly!

It stands 8 feet tall by 4 feet wide and comes in 3 pieces for an easy installation.
We also have this decal in 2 other sizes

Second:
From my friend, Jessi, @ TwoSeasideBabes : (my new favorite hat)
"This brim med beanie is crocheted in lemognrass wool yarn and ribbed to create a wonderful texture. It is crocheted with thick 80% acrylic and 20% wool yarn. I've added a double layer flower crocheted in lemongrass and plum. This soft hat is sure to keep your babe's head warm in the colder months. The hat pictured will fit 2 to 4 year old. Smaller or larger sizes may differ slightly from what is pictured due to stitches required to retain pattern.
This hat can be made in other sizes and colors. Convo me if you don't see the colors or size that you like. However, due to the thickness of the yarn, I cannot crochet this beanie smaller than 9 - 12 months. Please measure the wearer's head circumference to receive the proper fitting hat. Measurements and prices are as follows:
$27.00 9 - 12 Month: 17" - 18"
$29.00 1T - 2T: 18" - 19 1/2"
$31.00 2T - 4T: 19 1/2" - 20 1/2"
$33.00 4T - preteen: 20 1/2" - 21 1/2"
$35.00 Adult: 21 1/2" +
Also, be sure to check out my other store, Two Seaside Babes Too, which specializes in boutique hair accessories for all your bab es:

Gift A Day from Etsy by Kristin
Have been out of town and not been able to keep up with my gift a day :( I'm going to try to do two a day until Christmas Day, just in case you need some last minute ideas! Buy Handmade, Buy Local!!
From The House of Peltier:
"As an interior designer I am constantly looking for ways to add pattern and color into my rooms. You can too with these fun and funky, colorful but nuetral, eclectic and still edgy coasters! What a perfect gift for friends, family, co-workers...even yourself!
Each set includes 4 coasters measuring approximately 4.25" x 4.25". The decorative paper is wrapped completely around the ceramic tile covering the "unfinished" edges. The coasters are then sprayed several times with a sealer. A thick piece of cork is applied to the back, to protect your surfaces from scratching, and the set is tied with a piece of ribbon to hold the coasters together, adding the perfect finishing touch!
To clean, wipe with a damp cloth, these are NOT dishwasher safe." - House of Peltier

Brownsburg-This Weekend!
Look for these new items!
Festival of the Arts comes to Brownsburg (featuring MadrinDesigns) :)
by charlee beasor
BROWNSBURG — Along with a name change, the 31st annual Festival of the Arts here this weekend is different in a few ways from previous years.
The event, which runs from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. July 18 at Arbuckle Acres Park, 200 N. Green St., is offering the name change, as well as a children’s area and a main entertainment stage.
Walt Duncan, executive director of the Brownsburg Chamber of Commerce, said they are trying to move away from the craft aspect of the event.
“Festival of the Arts it seems to lend itself more to what we’re trying to do,” he said. “Arts in the Park had the connotation of a crafty show. Crafts as we knew them years ago, homes were decorated differently than they are now. Now it’s Festival of the Arts.”
Duncan said they hoped to get attendance up this year, as it’s been dwindling in past years.
“In the past few years, crafts have been going down, and our income has been going down as well, to the point where it’s not really profitable for us,” he said. “We’re trying to turn it around and make it a new event in the community. It’s something we can do to bring people into our community and go from there.”
Duncan and the chamber have been working with ProCAM, which is a convention and meeting planning group based in Brownsburg.
Rachael Vaught is with the organization and has been helping to rejuvenate the event.
“(The chamber) brought us on board to give it a makeover,” Vaught said. “It’s always been called Arts in the Park, and we’re giving it a new name. With that, we’ve tried to add in new activities they’ve never had before.”
Some of those new activities include the children’s area, which is sponsored by Clarian West Hospital.
“HIP Studios has partnered with them,” Vaught said. “I think it’s the coolest thing here at the event. There are hands-on art activities and it’s totally free. It will be a great area for kids.”
She said they are trying to aim the event in more of a family direction.
“Traditionally, it would be women who would come out and shop and we want to try to get the whole family,” she said. “The other new area is a main entertainment stage. We’ll have Hendricks County musicians performing all day long, there will be plenty of tables and chairs and (it’s under a tent), so families can come in and listen to the music.”
Some of the music acts include solo artists Alisa Turner and Jeffrey James, bands “Higher Ground,” “Called,” “The West Wind Big Band,” and “The Jazz Torino.”
The group has also tried new marketing tactics, including a banner that stretches across U.S. 136.
“It’s something that’s right here in the park, something they’ve always had,” Vaught said. “Because we’re turning it to more of a family event, it’s one more way to show what a great town Brownsburg is and showcase what we have here.”
Admission to the event is $3 per person and proceeds benefit the Brownsburg Chamber of Commerce. Children ages 12 and younger will be admitted free.
For more information or to volunteer, visit the website at www.brownsburgfota.com or call 313-9654.

Walk For Lupus Now 2009
There are more than 1.5 million Americans diagnosed with Lupus. I will be walking in this year’s Walk for Lupus Now event. I am creating a team to help me reach a donation goal for the Lupus Foundation of America, Indiana Chapter. We will be raising money for research and education. We are raising life changing dollars for Lupus research and education. You can help me reach this goal by joining my team today! By clicking on the link below, you will be taken to my web page where you can click on join my team and register online! Thank you for your support You can also help me reach my goal by making a donation online. Click on the link below and you will be taken to my personal donation page where you can make a secure online credit card donation. Lupus is a chronic, potentially life threatening autoimmune disease that can cause damage to virtually any organ in the body, especially the skin, joints, blood, and kidneys. In my case, I experience extreme fatigue, mouth ulcers, hair loss, eye inflammation, joint pain, swelling in my legs and ankles, anemia, sun and light sensitivity, and depression/anxiety. Fortunately, my lupus has avoided major organs like my kidneys or lungs, but that could change at any time. I do struggle everyday because of the symptoms of lupus, but I definitely try to have a positive outlook. Its hard for some friends and family to believe that I experience all of these things because I "don't look sick". Now I've realized that I need to put my personal struggle with lupus out there for everyone to know. I hope you all will walk with me in September (it's FREE). Please don't feel pressured to donate especially in the tough economic times we now face, but do know that for every dollar you donate, we're that much closer to a new treatment or cure for lupus! Thank you for your support. And please forward this to anyone else who might be interested. Walk for Lupus Now of Central Indiana is a half-day of fun, food, and friendship with activities for the whole family! Walkers can stroll through Central Park’s beautiful flat greenway (1- 3 miles). Central Park is both stroller and wheelchair friendly and we will walk rain or shine (the walk will move indoors if the weather is bad). |
Event Location: |
The Monon Center at Central Park Saturday, September 26, 2009 Registration 9:00 am Walk kicks off at 10:00am Carmel, Indiana |
